LETCHWORTH, UK—October  2, 2023
i3 Group Solutions today announced it has joined NVIDIA Inception programme.

Joining NVIDIA Inception will enhance i3 Group’s Smarter Manufacturing approach, using artificial intelligence, digital twins and simulation in the development of advanced manufacturing systems.

Utilising the NVIDIA technology stack will further enhance i3Group’s capabilities for leading-edge computing as it supports manufacturers through the design, manufacturing and installation of optimised manufacturing systems and automation.

The programme will also offer i3 Group the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading experts and other AI-driven organisations.

“With investments in the new race in computing, AI and next generation GPUs, this is a very exciting time to be involved. Our recently acquired New Intelligence division has developed an AI business improvement platform, Voyage 360, and our acceptance into NVIDIA’s programme will help further enhance our capabilities through cutting-edge tools for the design and simulation of factory production processes. Our award-winning teams are building virtual factories, simulating robotics and automating inspections to de-risk CapEx and OpEx decisions for our blue chip and SME customers. Some of our systems make billions of packets of crisps, millions of fire alarms and thousands of cookers per year.

Moreover, with NVIDIA GPU accelerated computing, NVIDIA Omniverse, NVIDIA Isaac Sim™, and NVIDIA Metropolis, we now have access to new capabilities available today. With these capabilities, we are designing and optimising manufacturing production processes and automating them in the virtual world before we even begin to manufacture these systems. We are using Omniverse to unify our advanced manufacturing system data and factory and enterprise simulations into a single view. Our Smarter Manufacturing approach is leveraging these technologies to help us provide better, more capable manufacturing systems, while de-risking projects and saving the customer significant costs,”  said Oliver Buhlinger, head of technology at i3 Group Solutions.

“Acquiring New Intelligence has not only strengthened our system design and manufacturing capabilities, but also created new opportunities in factory optimisation. Key drivers of re-shoring, international competition and net zero are pushing manufacturers to be more efficient in everything they do. They need smarter approaches to the way they design and optimise their production capabilities,” said Dr. Ewan Lloyd-Baker, chairman of i3 Group Solutions.
